I agree that this takes things to a new level. It's disturbing and scary. Unfortunately many of them have so much emotionally invested that they just can't let go no matter what is said to them.

I listened to the whole thing too Olin. I guess I just wanted it reconfirmed for me the reasons I left. Speakers like this jackass certainly bring it home to me quickly enough. His utter contempt for anyone not a gung ho JW is palpable. It's obvious he's looking forward to the slaughter. He practically gushes when talking about the number of dead bodies. No remorse of the absurdity of 1975, just blame the rank and file. Disgusting.

His manner of speaking is so aggravating! The way he enunciates every syllable as if every little word he says is of utmost significance - of life and death importance! What a responsibility for ruined lives lay at this deluded man's feet! And to think he never expressed remorse...
At least the blame can be fully placed on him. Their new light on overlapping generations can't be placed on any one person but certainly rivals the 1975 teaching as the purest of bullshit. They just never learn.

I can say one thing with certainty. If I hadn't left already, this pure and utter bullshit would have sent me out the door. I just can NOT believe people will buy this. Usually they make at least some attempt to make a change make some kind of sense but this is mindnumbingly stupid. It is truly the equivalent of telling the group to drink poisoned Kool-aid. It makes no more sense to believe this change than it would to drink that.
